A lovely three week art project at Rose Court care home in Rotherhithe, trying out monoprinting and working into prints with soft pastels. Artwork was inspired by flotsam and jetsam from the beach, both natural and plastic, and many interesting, sometimes unexpected images and stories were sparked off amongst the residents by this material. For one person it reminded them of a parachute drop into North Africa and for another the outline of Australia was suggested in the shape of some very contorted plastic.
