At 56 heactares Burgess Park is one of the largest parks in South London and is the largest in the Southwark borough. The park boasts a variety of areas and activities for all ages to enjoy.
The park has recently completed an £8m transformation, establishing it as a park central to the local community and recognised more widely for its heritage, facilities, wildlife, and horticultural excellence.
The area around Art in the Park has been beautifully refurbished and now includes a fun and contemporary children’s playground, as well as more trees, new paths and seating areas. The new ‘Park Life’ Cafe overlooks the chidren’s play area.
“Chumleigh World Gardens” is the jewel of Burgess Park, featuring a diverse range of plants from around the world.
There is also a 1st Place nursery for parents and children, which can be found around the corner of the studio.
