Join us for a series of three textile art workshops at the Art in the Park studio in Burgess Park. We will be using high quality art and textile materials and techniques to create individual silk textile pieces which we will make into a collaborative wall hanging to be displayed at a local exhibition in January. 

We will be hand painting on silk and using techniques such as batik. We will be listening to stories of the Windrush generation and looking at the wonderful vivid textiles of Althea McNish to inspire our artwork. Our studio is a relaxed environment, refreshments will be provided, all abilities welcome.
