Brick Making

Burgess Park
May Fair 2013

On May 18th 2013 we took part in Burgess Park’s May Fair, an annual celebration of Burgess Park and the rich and unique history of the surrounding area.

The park traveled back in time to the industrial revolution for the day, capturing the spirit of the 19th Century and the transformation of this area from market garden villages to a manufacturing focal point. There was lots to see and do all around Burgess Park. At Art in the Park we ran a collection of workshops and activities in and around the studio.

  • Ceramic Brick Making with Decorative Victorian Elements
  • Silk Screen Printing on Bags
  • “Flow” Temporary Sculpture Trail

It was a busy and wonderful day. The workshops were a great success and it was lovely to help people create some beautiful bricks and bags!
